Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ConcreteMaths ("we", "us") handles information when you use concretemaths.com.au (the "site").

The short version

The calculators run entirely in your browser. The measurements you type are never sent to us and are never stored on a server. Our own analytics is privacy-first and cookieless. The site carries Google AdSense, and Google's advertising code may set cookies. We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name or email unless you choose to contact us.

Information we collect

Calculator inputs

None of it reaches us. Calculations happen on your device. If you use the "copy result" feature, the link produced contains the figures you entered so that you can share it — that link is only shared by you, with whoever you send it to.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare records standard server logs — including IP addresses — for security, abuse prevention and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.

Messages you send us

If you email us, we hold your message and your email address for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people use the site, which calculators they use and which pages need improving. It is privacy-first by design: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not track you across other websites. It records information such as pages viewed, approximate location (usually country level), device type, browser and referring site. We use it in aggregate; we do not attempt to identify individual visitors.

Cookies and similar technologies

We set no cookies ourselves, and the calculators store nothing in your browser. Our analytics provider, Cloudflare Web Analytics, is cookieless by design.

Google's advertising code, described below, runs on every page and may set cookies or read device identifiers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators will keep working normally if you do.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense. Google's advertising code runs on every page.

Where ads are shown, Google and its partners use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure them, and in some cases to personalise them based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

You can control ad personalisation in your Google Ad Settings, and opt out of personalised advertising from participating vendors at optout.aboutads.info.

Your consent choices

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set. The choices offered are to consent, to refuse, or to manage individual purposes — refusing is as easy as accepting.

That message is provided by Google's certified consent management platform, and your choice is recorded by Google rather than by us. Visitors outside those regions are not shown it.

To change a choice you have already made, clear this site's cookies in your browser and reload the page; you will be asked again. If you would like your choice reconsidered and cannot do that, contact us.

How we use information

We do not sell personal information.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that make the site work — currently Cloudflare, which hosts the site and provides our analytics, and Google AdSense — and where we are required to by law.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. In practice, the only personal information we hold is what you have sent us by email. If you are covered by the GDPR or UK GDPR, you may also have rights to erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and to withdraw consent. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, or to your local supervisory authority.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and will revise the "last updated" date above.
