Estimate what your pour will cost, using your own supplier's price per cubic metre.

An estimate, not a quote.

This calculator multiplies your volume by the price you enter. It has no knowledge of your supplier's rates, minimum charges, delivery zones or current pricing. Get a written quote before you commit.

How concrete is priced

Ready-mix concrete is sold by the cubic metre, and the rate depends on the strength class and mix you order — a standard 20 MPa domestic mix costs less than 32 MPa, and additives, coloured oxide, exposed aggregate or fibre reinforcement all add to it.

We deliberately do not publish a price here. Concrete rates move, they vary substantially between states and between metro and regional areas, and a stale number on a website is worse than no number. Ring two local suppliers, get their rate per cubic metre for the mix you need, and put that figure into the calculator.

Why the calculator charges you for the rounded volume

Because that is what you will actually be invoiced for. Suppliers sell in increments — commonly 0.2 m³ — so a job needing 2.31 m³ is ordered and billed as 2.4 m³. Calculating cost from the raw volume consistently under-estimates the bill.

Costs this calculator does not include

The concrete itself is often less than half the cost of a finished slab. Depending on the job, a real quote may also include:

If you are comparing quotes from concreters rather than buying material yourself, expect their price to be quoted per square metre of finished slab, with everything above rolled in.

Getting a useful quote

Suppliers will price faster and more accurately if you give them: the volume in cubic metres, the strength class (for example 20 or 25 MPa), the slump, the aggregate size, the delivery address, the access situation, and the date and time you want it. Working the volume out first — which is what this calculator is for — is the part that saves the most back and forth.
